Default Headlight issue

Hey everyone i searched around and couldn't find much related to this. So I've recently changed my headlights to the depo housing using the same HIDs as the stock ones and the lighting is awful. The output is terrible at night. Did anyone experience this? What was the fix? Did you have to buy aftermarket HIDs?

Aloha - yes I switched my oem hids to aftermarket headlights and the light isn't nearly as "even" as it was before. My lights are the same molding as the stock lights but with black injection molding rather than the silver. The lights look great from the outside and I sealed em up well so no water gets inside- but the reflections are kinda whacky and the light isn't "even". Mine aren't the "Depo type (those have the extra leds ya?) but I'm guessing it's the same issue. My only suggestion is to carefully aim them and try moving the beam up and down until it makes it more even. I set my beam height to about 28" at 40 feet, so as not to blind oncoming traffic.

Hey man yah but I don't think the depo can be adjusted. I'm switching the HID kit for something more powerful and hope it helps.

It doesn't have the weird "toothed wheel" thing you adjust with a screwdriver?

I am using OEM 08 bi-xenon on my black housing depo. No problem in a year so far. I just changed the bulb temperature to 5200 for a more natural output. depot can be internally adjusted or maybe you need to adjust the housing itself to the car frame.
