Default Whats up with the ten minute edit feature?

Well Im the worst speller and I was wondering why the edit has been changed from 2 hours to 10 minutes?

Also the search feature needs to be redone you cant search anything with two words in it.

Am I the only one bothered by this?

Actually, I don't like the 10 minute Edit Feature either. I instead have to make a new post instead of Editing the current or origional.

I don't like the edit change either, but Ares was telling me that it is due to members posting things they shouldnt be, then editing the post before mods could see it. It is used to protect you and me from the evils of the world... . Seriously though, it is to prevent members from repeatedly posting bad things and getting away with it.

As for the search function... works fine for me.

I wish you could do two letter searches.

eg:
GT
HP
FI
NA
DB
BY
LS
LA

etc.

what's wrong with being able to remove something you posted that was inappropriate?? the ten minute edit feature is bad. no other forums i've visited impose this on their members. no other forums i've visited prohibit deleting of posts. i think the moderators are control freaks.

Well hell, it's not like anybody is forcing you to post here. If you don't like the policies set by the moderators, find another forum with rules you can live with. This isn't a democracy.

Default 10 min rule sucks...

Most of my post are quite lenghty and require a lot of correction after posting to see what they look like and correcting

I don't really remember anything inappropreate on any post. Bring back the old method.

It also elliminates updating lists

I guess when you 'owned' yourself, it can be immortalized... and you can't do a d@mned thing about it. Like that poster CarEnthusiast being 17-years old and coming up short on his house payment. And bills on another thread.
