So I've read the suspension 101 guide a couple times so I have a pretty good understanding of some things I need for my z. I bought BC racing coilovers (True type) so I no longer need the spring bucket and will be purchasing toe arms and cambers arms. Now I see SPC has some decent camber arms (part 72052) and these come as a pair which look like eccentric lock outs come with them (correct me if I'm wrong.) I also need to be sure if when I install toe arms, which I'm thinking of getting voodoo over z1 arms, do toe arms require the lockouts as well or just the camber arms? If not I'll just buy the Voodoo arms and SPC arms that come with them and be done. If they do need them then I guess I get the SPL eccentric lock out. Would this rear set up be efficient enough for daily driving with occasional backroad fun? I never track my car by the way

No thanks. But from looking at that kit I assume toe arms do require eccentric lock outs?

 

Late reply but, any time you add an adjustable arm, you will want to eliminate the adjustability of the eccentric bolt, i.e. an offset eccentric bolt elimination kit. This is because you are now adjusting the arm itself, and have no need for the mounting points to be adjustable.

In fact, if you keep the eccentric bolts instead of eliminate/ lock them out, your alignment may come out of spec over time depending on how you're driving the vehicle, hard turns, etc... putting more stress on those mounting points.

 

I made sure I ordered them with the arms. Thanks a lot for the clarity! Was much needed. I don’t track my car at all but seems necessary to have these as I do enjoy these country roads in N.C. lol

 

What did you go with.....the guy I suggested is an aircraft engineer for boeing.....hence why I suggested him

 

I’m sure his is great but I went with Z1 for both since they each came with a eccentric lockout kit. I just like the way they look and preferred a known brand on my car.
