Engine bogs around 3k RPM on Acceleration (5AT 2006 Z)
Hello all!
So my Z is having a bit of a problem. The previous owner has already removed the YAW sensor and pulling the brake fuse makes it impossible to shift out of park (do you have to be in neutral with the ebrake before pulling the plug?) But even with the YAW sensor (and to my understanding traction control as a whole) it still feels like traction control is kicking in and limiting the RPMs whenever I launch the Z. I have the videos saved on my phone of accelerations with and without brake boosting with and without traction control as well.
If anyone has a clue on what I can do to finally be able to launch properly, we can figure out a way for me to send the videos. But it stays around 3k RPM for a half second to a full second in first gear. This makes my sub 14s quarter mile time drop down to basically 15s.
So so far I’ve cleaned the MAF sensor, cleaned the throttle body, reset the ECU, did the idle air volume relearn thingy (although my idle is still around 1250-1750 and she’s definitely idling way too high in drive because I can hit 25mph just from letting it idle.) I really don’t know what to do other than getting a tune.
