Default Yet another question.. good to have other 350Z owners around!

I have a ‘07, touring, with navigation. I feel like this is a rarity as most research I do, everyone usually has the model without Nav and the location is a cubby.

Has anyone had troubles upgrading to an aftermarket head unit with a dongle that still allows connectivity to the steering wheel controls? Pretty specific question here. Just curious if anyone else has done this, as ive seen posts of others with the subs in the trunk.solitaire.onl/ 9apps.ooo/

Yes it can be done. I had it done on my Z. I hired a professional shop to handle the work (afterwards I wish I just did it myself! Story for another time). An aftermarket adapter was needed to get the steering wheel controls to work with the new Doubled din head unit. Everything worked, just not exactly in the same manner as the OEM head unit. From my understanding the steering wheel buttons can be programmed to do execute different functions when used with an adapter and aftermarket unit.
