Prices on used 2008 350 $16000
I’m looking at picking up a used Garage queen immaculate 2008 350z grand touring loaded with every option even the Navi. The seller is asking 16k for the car. It has only 25000 kilometres though and that’s the selling point for me. Only issue I’m worried about is over paying. For you Z experts there, am I over paying for this car?? What am I looking at in terms of depreciation, am I going to take a big hit or will it remain close to what I payed?
So, $16k Canadian (about $11,300 USD) ? And 25k km, so about 15.5k miles. If $11.3k US is the price, this sounds good if it is as clean as you say. As for holding value, I'll leave others to comment - but, I wouldn't consider it as an investment. It does sound like a nice vehicle to buy and enjoy and get your value out of it that way. Oh, and post some pictures of it
If it's San Marino Blue, I'd get it in a heartbeat.
As for value-wise, it's pretty cheap for what they're asking. I bought my 05' Roadster 6MT w/ 28k miles for $12k USD (~$17k CAD). (This was also in 2011)
I'd say go for it, an example like that here in Texas would probably fetch around $13-15k USD, solely because it's an 08 and a fully loaded Grand Touring.
But... BUT, I'm not sure the desirability of Autos in Canada, but the value is about 20-30% lower to the manual equivalent.

To your 2nd question, yes any car will only go down in value. There are 3 factors that determine the value- mileage, condition and demand. If you're buying this car because it's fun to drive, great! If you're buying this car as an "investment" don't kid yourself, it's likely to drop 5-15% per year in value. Gl!
