reverse lights on in neutral

reverse lights on in neutral

I have a problem with my Z it’s a a manual when it’s in neutral the reverse lights are on but when ever I put it in gear 1-6 or reverse they turn off ? Anybody know what it could be ?

Perhaps the neutral and reverse light switches on the transmission are reversed.

I would pull the neutral switch out of the trans and see if it sticking

i thought it was that so I went ahead and replaced it but sadly it’s still doing it

that could be possible im going to try and switched them tomorrow see if that fixes the problem
