Default Any ideas on productions for automatic vs 6 speeds. Opinions on value on my car.

At a car show a guy who claimed to be an 350 expert told me in 2004 85% were manuals vs automatics. Just wondering if any actual numbers exist on how automatic in 2004 were made.

I'm a old school grand national racer new to the 350z world. Had a buick that ran 10.20s @ 129 6.50s in 1/8 mile with stock block heads and working air, factory 200r4 trans and stock interior.

This car new to me 2004 which I think is a touring model automatic and heated leather seats.

I have replaced both belts, one rear caliper, new rear rotor, rear pads, oil pressure switch, one new fan motor, new hatch shocks, new hatch springs they were missing, adjusted all windows, adjusted hatch tight, new Nissan battery hold j hooks and bracket down it was missing, replaced all missing plastic push pins under hood and all plastic shields and fender wells, car is tight 95,000 miles, cd and tape player work, has factory sub woofer, all lights work, all door panel clips are new from nissan, car has been put on lift and pressure washed under car and engine compartment, 17 factory wheels, new washer jug, every item replaced are factory Nissan parts, all factory paper work owners manual etc, front rotors machined, Michelin tires, paint is probably a 7 out of 10, all parts for jack is in car, everything is factory, new factory y pipe one car was dented and replaced.

Have been on several 300-400 miles trips no issues. Car runs cool in stop and go traffic I was in a drive though for 30 minutes in 85 degree issues no problems. Passenger valve cover has a slow leak outside of this no leaks. Interior is in great shape except drivers seat has mild wear on door side.
I have been offered 8800 and 9000. I'm not going to sell. Any ideas on value?

Problem is most of these cars have been raced abused and modded up. Another crazy point so many of these cars are taken apart and never put back together correctly. I know several younger guys who have them half the interior pieces are missing. They will do something like wire up a stereo and what ever interior pieces they take off never get put back and all you see is pure metal on the interior. I ask them and the say the clips broke and don't have new ones or they are now missing. The real answer is they are too lazy to figure it out and order the right stuff. They have a rattle trap with terrible road and air noise but a pair or subs in the back. Another guy whose passenger door does not even work and his wife gets in from the drivers side and climbs over but has wheels tires and a aftermarket hood but can't fix the door.

i sold my HR 7 years ago, with almost every bolt on mod imaginable, full paint correction for just barely more than you want... you will never get 12k

dont get me wrong, its a good looking car, but i think you are too emotionally invested in it

You are correct I am too involved I just wondering about opinions from our members on value. Not wanting to sell it. But some buyers would rather have a completely factory car than one like yours. Everyone is different. How fast was yours in the 1/8 or 1/4? I like the old car nothing fancy but a good driver. I did drag racing for 35 years out of that game now just wanna cruise and go to car shows.

Thanks

A 2004 in mint condition and ~120,000 miles goes for about $10K. Your banker isn't being greedy (I know, that's very unusual for a banker). In a rural area, the price is usually lower.

The design life on a 350Z is 200,000 miles. This , of course, is highly dependent on how it's driven and maintained. It sounds like you maintain well but I wouldn't mention your drag racing history to any buyer.

You can't find a better sports car for $10,000 than a 350Z with moderate mileage. If you intend to have a sports car, then it sounds like you should just keep it.

I was going to make a smart-aleck remark about the Elvis trim on the wheel, shifter, and parking brake but then noticed the CD case wedged between the passenger seat and console

Very funny!

Elvis is still the King. We are old school. That is Elvis live in Vegas cd set. I'm not a bling person but wife is. It is really her car. I drive it about 2% of the miles put on it.

One bad thing about those white seats, the blue Jean transfer. I had that happen to a linen colored section of seat on my first vette

I know a guy who had a Lincoln with white leather interior had blue Jean transfer on the seat. Ford took the car back and gave him a ton of cash to buy an explorer. To avoid going to court.

Who else would even be in contention for the title, Eric Clapton? He's more bluesy than rock. Johnny Cash is legendary but a stretch for King of Rock and Roll.

I'm so glad I checked your post! I've ordered the Live in Vegas CD set plus the That's the Way It Is set. Can't wait for them to arrive. I'm old school, new school, AND "All School". Blues, Hard Rock, Progressive Rock, Alternative Rock, Rockabilly, Jazz, Zydeco, Country, Electronic... Even some rap is good, though I don't like the anger, misogyny, or drug/gang themes (Gangster Paradise being an obvious exception).

BB King summed it up perfectly: "There are only two types of music: Good music and Bad music."

Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker. Live in Las Vegas by Elvis is great.
