I’m trying to figure out this part name or at least see if someone knows if I can remove it or not. It doesn’t look too important but I’m also new to working on my own cars. Hence why I got the 350z as a project car.

While the part can be removed it looks like you are still using the hanger. Unless you switch to a single tip exuast I would not remove it in fear of exuast sag,scrape or in extreme cases falling off the other hangers.

why not just leave it alone? is it causing any issues or anything?

Its called an exhaust hanger... It holds the exhaust, and supports its weight. If your bored and want to remove it could probably be a fun way to spend 3 minutes. Then you can put it back on and tell your buddies about the work you did on your project car.
