It started today after hitting a bump at a gas station entrance. Checked connections from the test pipes to the y pipes and everything seems secure. A friend of mine with a g35 said he had the same noise and it was a heat shield. Car drives fine, happens in any gear between 1.5-2k rpm’s on decel. Any thoughts? video in the link below. 07 HR 6mt

My heat shield on drivers side was rattling , took a pry bar and bent it back some

 

Do you have an aftermarket exhaust? When i bought my Z it came with a greddy evo catback and the car was not lowered. I lowered the car a few months after. I started scrapping and noticed I developed a rattle in the rear.
Got under the car to inspect and the exhaust hits on the diff. You can try prying it as mentioned above.

 

Based on your video. There are two heat shields at the bell housing area which would be close to the foot wells (trans tunnel). These shields are situated right above the CATs. I would inspect those 1st. I would also inspect the brace that connects between the lower trans and the CATs. It's not uncommon, as these cars age and with aftermarket exhausts, for the brackets on the CATs to break off and cause a potential exhaust leak at the CAT and also metal on metal contact/rattles. I attached an edited photo (just pretend my ART pipes are CATs), the RED arrows are the brace/bracket areas you need to inspect. The YELLOW arrows point to the heatshields.
