VTC cover gasket replacement.

hey guys I’m new to the 350Z forums, this is my 2008 Z, it’s got 170K miles still running like a top. However it’s time to change some gaskets and my driver side VTC cam cover is leaking. I was wondering if it’s as easy as unbolting the cover, replacing the gasket and bolting it back up, or does it mess with the retarder magnet on the inside and is there a relearn process ?
