Default Help with Fitment and Daily Driving

Hello everyone,
About 8 months ago I bought a 350z roadster and have been doing some light handling mods, but mostly maintenance. Recently, I decided to lower it 1.2" on some lowering springs and noticed that the wheels are much sunken in than usual.

Here's the issue. I would like to be more flush with the fender. However, I am contemplating between wheels or spacers.

Here's some pros and cons for me right now if I use spacers vs. getting wheels

Pros of Using Spacers:
1. Can fix fitment
2. Improves handling by giving my stock wheels a wider track

Cons of Using Spacers:
1. Some have warned spacers can break
2. Can cause more wear on suspension components

Pros of Getting Wheels:
1. Can fix fitment
2. Improves handling
3. Less risky than spacers

Cons of Getting Wheels:
1. Much more expensive
2. Lightweight wheels could possibly bend due to a lot of potholes in the bay area
3. Would need to get new tires again

I want to know if people have daily drived their Z's on spacers, and their experience with spacers. I would prefer to keep my stock wheels as I just got a new set of quality tires to get ready for the rainy season. Would it be better to get spacers, to leave the fitment 'as is', or to invest in a set of wheels and tires given my situation? My main goal here is having a bit of a wider stance to have a bit more fun in the twistys, and I feel that getting aftermarket wheels may be too excessive especially since I just got new tires. Let me know what is best.

Here's some pictures of how the fitment is right now:
