Anyone with PPW have tiny rust dots?
I am doing the first wash/wax of the Spring (ok, late winter) and noticed a few tiny dots, mostly on lower doors that are orange, rust colored. I mean VERY tiny, but wondering if anyone else has noticed them. My friend had said that pretty much all white cars show this, but until i saw them, i was skeptical.
If you DO have them, have you gotten rid of them with clay or any other products? I will just go over them with a good wax for now.

I used to get them (when I had a PPW) and it seemed to be tar or brake dust. They would come off fairly easy with clay. I actually had them all over the car at one time or another.
Living on the South Shore you probably drive through a lot of road work like I do. When will Big Dig be over

Today is so nice that I couldnt resist a good cleaning. I am heading out now to get a few nice pictures.
(I can't wait for big dig to end either. 2 nights ago my friend and I got in a bad accident resulting in flipping a cherokee over a barrier. no speeding involved)

Easy fix
You could either clay bar, or if you're lazy like me use 3M rubbing compound. Works like a charm. I've gotta admit I haven't had to do this on my Z, but I did it on my S2k, my old honda, etc etc without any probs. Try it on a small area first just to be safe (you should do this with every product anyway). Whatever you do don't take it to some professional and let them charge you $100 to do it!
