Default Stainless/Billet Grille

Recently, Wutafobb had a thread on his homemade grille, using chromed-plastic door edge guard material. Several others chimed in indicating they had done the same thing.

They looked good.

Question is, has anyone seen an actual grille in either stainless or aluminum in this same OEM configuration?

Click on the Forum Search button near the top of the page then search for the term "grill or grille". You get a bunch of hits, lots with pictures and links to sites that sell them.

I was looking for a grille a couple of weeks ago and looked at probably a hundred examples but don't remember seeing anything other than the homemade one that looked like that. Most all of the billet grilles have 20 - 30 small bars and vents across them.

BTW, I went ahead and made my own with the chrome door edging and it looks great. Some time in the future I may buy one of the "real" ones but I don't want to spend $200 and cut my OEM grille out at this time.

Default grill....

I did the same thing with door edging. Just make sure you coat the cut edges with clear coat to protect against water getting inside the door trim.

Yeah! Been there, done that. Got cross-eyed looking at all the threads that referenced "grille".

Just hoping some manufacturer would pick up on the possibilities.

Oh Well!

Yes, I found his and like it a lot. His has about 8, or so, horizontal bars in it. I'm looking for one with only 3, like the OEM. I'm sure they are not available. JimH's is cool and will be an acceptable alternative.

Thanks, anyway.

Jim's is the one that I want to get, but like I said -- $200 and you have to remove the OEM grille.
