Default damn autobody shop!

mother fuggers! i just to pick up my car - jus got my nismo replica spoiler installed.

got back was happy as could be......until i closely inspected it.....

****ing scratches and DENTS. holy ****. how they **** up this bad is beyond me.

Ill take some pics and post em later on - gotta run to a class.

Ended up just calling this guy - he said the dents were there before they got the car - which is COMPLETE FUGGIN BS.

Its so obvious as well, seems they took a screwdriver or something and tried to pull the spoiler up.

How you guys think I should go about this?? He said to talk to the main dude tomorrow morning - im gonna give em hell. Got a class to go to now so gotta run.

you cant see the dent in these shots, but they are located on the left side of the rear where the scratches are.

Man sorry to hear it.

Hope you dont get screwed.
Too bad the shop didnt have that card where
they can mark off previous Damage.

If they dont own up I'd ***** them to
death, Sue'em in small claims.

Maybe you'll lose but maybe you wont
maybe they'll fix it.

-Good Luck man

Today I went to pick my Z up from the shop.
had a new bumper put on after a small fender bender.
Long story short bumper had a few small scratches in the brand
new paint. What a waste of my time!

Verdict: Bumper now being re-done.
Moral: inspect the shiit out of your car. Trust no one

^OMG man that sucks! One thing I regret is taking pictures of my car top to bottom, hell even going over it with them for every little nick just to make sure I dont come back with more. Hope everything works out well for you....

Well today I went in and spoke to the owner. I met him when I took my car in for the estimate. Turns out his people already told him that I had called so he called me first thing in the morning - bout 8:30 and told me to come down to the shop.

I tell him the story and how the car was shipped from japan with my specs so its VERY unlikely those scratches/dents were there when I purchased it. He used a compound on them and it removed them, but they were still there - some were down to the metal. Told em that I was very unhappy - saying that I came for a 'professional' job and was expecting just that.

He said well I don't want you to be unhappy so i'll fix it - or something to that extent. Turns out im friends with the lady that works there, and another friends mother is real good friends with this guy - he knew this so it probably influenced his decision. Next friday hes gonna repaint it and take out the dents. Couldn't be happier. Very sincere guy as well unlike the other peons that worked on my car (met them as well).

Now im just hoping when i get her back itll be just the way it was when I brought it there.

Oh yeah btw the nismo spoiler is awesome. Really adds to the car, especially when looking at it from a front-angle.

I just installed my Data Systems and found a DENT and Deep scratches too and Paint CHips.

They said it's very hard to remove the OEM rear spoiler because it's stuck and glued sooo hard. But i'll might just go down to the shop and ask them as well what's going on.

I think i learn my lesson that If you planning to mod your car never buy the Track Version.

Your SOL. How could you not see those scratches when you were at the shop "inspecting" the spoiler? The shop that did mine, didnt even install it until I got there and made sure I liked the way the spoiler looked. Then I watched them put the spoiler on the car.

Fuzion, I feel for ya..... I went thru the same type of s#!t when I got my Veilside V1 lip done. They warped it and layed the blame on Veilside. It has taken over a month to get it resolved.

Once you hand your Z over to someone else it 's all over!

Although the shop did a good job on my repairs the experience should have been better.

Also they slightly scratched the Z rear back strut in the trunk. Must have had something in the Trunk.

Also my TRACK was missing the under bumper diffuser. They said they never saw that on the car, Well it was there when I dropped it off, and it comes standard on the TRACK.

Also they forgot to install the smoked side markers I bought and
gave to them and emailed them about. They had to remove the amber and put the smoke on afterwards.

Also there was a 1 inch rub on the new Headlight they replaced.

Also there are 2 small scratches on my roof I never had. Can buff those out.

Also they did not install the Zee Bracket I bought and gave them and Emailed them about. And they returned it to me missing pieces.

Bottom line. Pray everynight that you never have to leave your Z
with anyone.

^ What he said. It is amazing how many stories there are of people getting their car OWNED by these places. Seriously, is everyone in auto body just half assing or deliberately screwing up these cars? In my case their blunder is causing more work. Because of this I fear they will do an even more half-*** job or mess with my car.

My advice - GO OVER THE CAR with the owner preferrably, covering every damn little swirl mark. Only way to keep yourself out of the hole.....

As i said, the owner fessed up to the damage. He saw the marker marks still there and probably figured his guys rushed the job.

Today was the day i was supposed to bring it in but forgot - which is good because they were swamped as it is.

So next week its going in. When I get it back ill post some pics. I swear if this paint doesnt match it is on. Heh.

I am pretty sure they Smoke as much dope as they can
and then start working

You get to the point where you just want your Z back,
I started thinking the longer it's there the more F-up'd it's going to be when I get it back. Especially after they screwed up the paint job on the bumper the first time.

When I bitched about the scratch they said they didnt do it and most people dont notice the imperfections they already have until
they get the car back from repairs and go over it with a fine toothed comb. Then they blame the shop.

I told'em I am **** about the car, Drive it week-ends only and except for the Damage the fender bender caused the car is MINT!
it's 6 months old with just 3000 miles on it.

Funny thing too is that this is a highly reputable shop, Maybe I just was unlucky and had "Rico" the new employee do my work.

I am just happy to have my Z back.

It looks great. No more license plate holes.
Got my smoked side markers
will Buff out the small roof scratch
I am going to buy a new diffuser. 60 bucks
you cant really notice the rub on the headlight.

Oh and get this....

The shop calls me a few days ago to follow up on the repairs and
see what I had to say.

You can guess what I told'em.
