Z Quality
To avoid getting shocked while getting out of the car, I "ground" myself while touching any metal part of the car until I am ready to close the door. I usually have my hand on the metal door. This has worked 100% for me.
Oh why not. I'll throw my $.02 in. The exterior handles appear to be plastic wrapped in a layer of aluminum or stainless. The interior handles are just silver plastic. Aluminum does not look like that. Open the hood and look at your engine!!! The turn signal stalk has the same silver colored plastic on it.
By the way, I think the build quality is very good, but some of the interior materials are just so-so.

Feel how cold the inside handles get when the A/C blows on them. If you wear a ring, tap the handle with the ring on your finger and feel/hear it. It's unimstakenly metal, most likely aluminum.

OMGosh, he must be made of aluminun, and he DIDNT TELL ME.
(I would have recycled nizl along time ago had I known)
ps IF the ext handle is "wrapped" in aluminun, then its still a plastic handle.

Sorry, were not debating that anymore....the int handles are metal...
we are debating the ext. handles only. And yes, the interior handles DO look like components from the engine.
Why not just test the conductivity of the exterior handles? Get a meter. People getting shocked seems like they are pretty conductive to me. That leads me to believe they are metal. Try a magnet, too. I don't know how magnetic aluminum is but if its another alloy that is pretty magnetic, the magnet will illustrate (obviously).
Interior : metal
Exterior: I think they are just plastic....I've got a pretty deep gash in my driver side door handle...I don't think any kind of metal used would be that soft. I'll try and take a picture.

Yes, theZ has some plastic parts that are not top notch, but who cares? Nissan put the money where it belongs, engine, chassis. suspension, seats etal. All the components needed to go fast, handle well, and keep the driver and passenger in reasonable comfort and did it for 3/4 the price of its competition.
A remarkable feat for a sports car in anyone's estimation and they made it attractive to look at and fun to drive. It doesn't get better than that for me.
