Default silverstone/chrome, help!

I've been searching over and over and over and over......

I'm trying to find a silverstone and a chrome 350 beside each other.
I can hardley tell the difference between the 2 when i look at them one at a time.

Does anyone have a good picture were you can really see the difference?

Thanks guys.

Funny you should bring this up. When I was going for my 350Z a month ago, I wanted a 6spd chrome silver. They told me they had a Silverstone 6spd instead. I took a day to think about it, started to like the silverstone, went back to accept it, but it was already sold. I ended up having to settle, because I needed the car the next day , for an automatic chrome silver 350Z.

This morning while pulling into work, I noticed someone 3 spots over had just bought a silverstone. I sat there for 15 minutes and compared the cars. In my HONEST opinion, as I'm not jaded by what color I ended up with, I think the chrome silver looks nicer and cleaner. It just went with the car better than the darker silverstone. That being said, chrome silver is a much more popular color and you will see many of them. Silverstone is much more rare and will make your car stand out more. All that being said, it's your choice and you should see them both in person, not judge from a picture. Different lighting will affect the way the car looks. Good luck.

One other thing. I think the chrome silver always looks shiny, whereas the Silverstone looks dull under some lighting.

Silverstone is darker and not as shiny.

As rjw0501 indicated, the one on the left is Chrome Silver and the one on the right is Liquid Aluminum. Neither is Silverstone.

The simple way to think about them is that Silverstone is grey, and Chrome Silver is silver.

Well, you can do like me and take a year to watch and learn before placing an order.

I went thru a couple of color ideas before finally settling on Daytona Blue. I saw one at night under some mercury vapor street lamps and it glowed blue. After seeing a couple more, even at a distance, I knew that was the color to get!

Even now, on the rare occasion when I park in a parking lot, I make sure I park next to a light pole under the MV lamps. It's like being in a spotlight. I'm thinking of getting a MV light for my carport just so it can glow all night long.....

Here another thing to keep in mind. Most dealers don't actually place their order with Nissan until shortly after the first of the month. If you order one today, your car won't really be ordered from the factory until April sometime. Take a few more weeks to decide on the color you want. There's no real rush or advantage to getting an order in today.

i have silverstone

silver by day, stone by night. if there is any light on the car it will appear silver, if it is dark, the car wil appear stone grey.

the entire car is painted the same color, but if you look at the left side of the pic on the hood it is silver and gradually gets grey as you move to the other side of the car, because the sun was setting in front of the car towards the passengers side.

when it is completely dark out the car is even darker grey, like a slate color.
