Hey Brad, do you have any trouble taking low-light pics w/ the 990? I've got the 950 and my low-light pics usually come out too dark or absolutely horrible. Wanna show me how to use my 950?

I shoot in full manual on low-light shots with a tripod. Are you using P or M mode? Do you know how to use the meter in manual mode?

 

Ah... tripod... that would help out alot.

I know of the meter, but never used it. How does it work? I've got Matrix, Spot, and Centerweight settings, and I keep it in Matrix.

Do you ever increase the ISO setting at all?
