Clutch pedal adjusment.
Hello All,
I've been told that there is no way to adjust the height of the clutch pedal. I was wondering what pro's and con's there would be for actually cutting the pedal, and spot welding it about 1.5" lower than the stock height. Reason is I am 6'7", and I can drive the car, but my knee touches the steering wheel when the clutch is all the way up. Any thoughts?

With the travel of the pedal, you won't be able to fully disengage the clutch if you do that. There is an adjustment screw where the clutch cylinder plunger meets the pedal. You can get the pedal to drop some if you turn it a few times. The problem with that is clutch engagement will be at the floor, and your cruise won't work (there is a switch at the top of the pedal travel).
The only solution I see is to change the pivot point of the pedal. That would make for more pedal effort, but less travel. I'm not sure how to go about solving the problem this way...
