hey guys im about to go z shopping. I live in san diego so i think mossy nissan is the best bet for me locally. I just wanted to get an idea of what you paid for you car ? Im looking at either the enthus or the performance. Im thinking i should be able to get it at 30 or a little lower. I found one mossy down here who has it online for 30,401 . so what do you guys think??

I cant say how much I got mine for but it was REALLY cheap. I got mine at the Nissan dealership I used to work at, the GM is a very close family friend as well. I think you should email all the local dealers and see who gives you the best offer.

hey malukalu, I am in San Diego looking for an enthusiast also. I'm looking at Mossy Nissan also, and there prices. I figure that I print out the MSRP's given at www.nissanusa.com and the invoice prices found on Edmund's and go on over. If you look at their website they have "Mossy Discounts" off jacked up MSRP prices so I think I'm going to try to get that discount on the actual MSRP prices. The problem we have here is that there is basically only one other dealership in town because Mossy Nissan has a monopoly with about 4 or 5 lots. It sucks big time.

I got mine at Mossy Nissan, Kearny Mesa. I paid MSRP for my Performance last Feb. I'm sure you'll be able to get a better deal now (below MSRP) because when I was shopping, they were selling quick as hell..... Now I see at least 6 - 8 cars on the lot at a time......

IF you guys go, talk to Jon Moyer, he was my salesman, he wasn't to pushy and he let me "get on it" during the test drive......
Tell him Eric Lim w/ the Super Black Z sent you (although, I doubt he'll remember me).....

I paid MSRP for mine back when I placed an order on 1/2/03. But since that was well over a year ago, you shouldn't have any problems getting it below MSRP. Walk into a dealer knowing exactly what you want with the MSRP, Invoice, and your price (be fair, low balling will **** them off). If they won't budge off MSRP, leave and you'll either have them chasing you or getting a call in a few hours. If not, go to a few other dealers and you'll definitely find one below MSRP.

One more thing, I think that any member on my350z.com gets $1,000 of MSRP at Performance Nissan of Durate (contact members Jeff@Performance or Jason@Performance). I've heard it's not too close to SD, but I'm sure the trip wouldn't cost $1,000 .

yeah Mossy is all over the place here. Online they have a performance for 30,410. I went into the poway dealership today to testdrive and they didnt have any manuals nor the model i wanted. Apparetnly they are bringing the perfomance one in from the other dealership. Either way i figure i wont get that exact one sincei want one that has not test driven miles on it ( plus how are they gonna get it from one dealership to the other??) On the webiset it says msrp 31,410 and 1000 mossy discount. you think they will budge at all cuz i heard they wont really bargain that price? ProjectAlpha what kinda are you looking for and how soon. Maybe we can negotiate a better deal together?

Perf Nissan does give 1000 under msrp but :-
1. they're quite far (not the main reason)
2. they have a very very small inventory, meaning which u have to order and wait.
(I love the parts dept ppl though, am going there for all my services)

I bought mine from Mossy - Kearny mesa (had 45 on the lot) ... my sales guy was the best ever... he knew everything about the car, showed me a bunch of tricks... how to use all the gauges... was extrememly friendly - not aggressive at all !!! highly recommended, they give you 1000$ off msrp immediately and sometimes more through their mossy value price...

sales guy: Butch Peachy, u can let him know warren referred u

So i went in for my first test drive last night. Drove a manual 6sp performance and and automatic enthusiast. I wanted to see how much of a noise difference there would be if at all as well as ride quality. LOVED the car, only gripe is that its a bit cramped inside. yeah i know this is a sports car and all but wow. i also test drove the murano which i ended up really likeing. Man it felt like i was swimming inside that thing after riding in the Z. Havnt negotiated price (dunno if they will - Mossy) but hopefully i can get the performance for bout 31 out the door if i choose that.. but man murano is nice i think.

even better than the murano is the fx45, i carpool with a friend and ride in that every alternate day... she's fast... 313hp... v8... woohoo... still no comparison to my lil DB Z ... but if i was a family man, thats the ride i would get.. here's a pic of it ..

Actually, I think the Zzz is quite "roomy" ....for a sports car. I was surprised by how good I felt behind the wheel. (I'm 6'2" & 220 lbs)

But if you feel cramped in, go Murano.

I don't think you'll find a decent sports car with more room. Porsche's are a lot less 'roomy' than the Z...for a reason I would think.
