I was cleaning my car yesterday and felt a rough spot as I went over the Z emblem on the rear crosss strut. I took the chamois off and the plastic had peeled on the emblem. After getting over being mad that it was such a cheap part, I began wondering how it happened. To the best of my knowledge I have never scraped anything over it. I wonder if the Texas sun has made it peel. Has this happened to anyone else. I wonder if the warranty will cover it. July 2003 buy with 4,400 miles

 

I have scuffs all over back there. none specificly on the Z emblem though, and I have a good idea how they all got there. just loading stuff in there, you bang it. or I did anyway.
