Question rust on the disc brakes.....

Has anyone else's disc brakes start to rust or turn brown.... is this normal ? Whats the best solution to fix or clean them ? i had no idea that they would start to turn after one season... any help would be greatly appreciated.. thank you.

nothing to worry about. happens to all of us. Its only surface rust too, wont go further and do any damage. I think it is 409 stainless stee (im probably wrong though, usually am).

But I am right about not to worry about it

Thought that just driving and braking for awhile would make the rust pretty much disappear... until the next time the rust develops again... that is on the parts that the pads meet the rotor.

I've noticed rust on the rotors after I wash my car but it goes away once driven.

Yeah if they get wet and sit at all, they will rust FAST! But only surface rust andgo away with the first swipe of the brake pad against the rotor.
