Re: funny
CONGRATS NIZL.
Dude you can get a NSX for the price of the Z, the poll is taking about getting a 7-9 year old NSX vs getting a NEW 350Z.
I think it's funny that that you think it's a pole (as in pole position).

Nizl,
Congrats on your Z! By any chance do you live in La Jolla?
I saw a Silverstone Z with a Mossy plate parked in front of one of my neighbors houses. Whoever that is, in a month you will have a twin just a couple houses up.

Congrats Nizil, I told you the wait was worth it.
Are you going to install your stereo yourself? If you are and want some help, I would really appreciate the opportunity to help in the interior tear down so I know how it all comes apart (and goes back together).
Let me know.
Alan
PS we need to have another mini-meet now that more SD cars are showing up.

Hey, thanks for all the great posts. Seriously, do you realize we've all known each other for almost 9 months? We've basically all had a communal baby together!
I don't know yet. I went to Street Noyz today by Sports Arena, and they had some pretty sweet custom ideas: kickpanels and a nice fiberglass enclosure with a down-firing sub. I may go that route BUT it was AMAZINGLY expensive. $4000 which was about 50/50 parts/labor. Oh yeah that included tinting too.
If I do it myself and tone it down a little, I figure it'll run about $2000. Gonna have to think about it for a couple days.
Hehe... close, but I'm better looking.
Hey Gish, you order your stereo stuff yet?
BTW, at this point after listening to the stock system and driving around, here's what I'm considering for a stereo:
- dynamat for doors and hatch
- stock headunit
- Dynaudio 360 mkII 3-ways (8" woofer, 3" mid, 1" tweet)
- Image Dynamics IDMAX 12" w/ chrome basket
- Two Zapco Reference 350 amps
- Lightning Stinger 1-farad cap
No JL W7, *sniff*, but the IDMAX is just as good IMO, and about $300 less. Plus it looks

Hey nizl,
Just read your web site, and it was like deja vu all over again. I got my Z a week ago, and had the exact same feeling. Got the call at work 9:00 am, and told them I'd be right over (dealer was 100 miles away). The dealer told me that it wouldn't be ready until the afternoon, but I was so excited that the rest of the work day was shot. I finally convinced my girlfriend (who works at the same company) that I would wait only until 1:00 before taking off to the dealer, so she'd better get ready to leave (at his point all my co-workers know that my car - which has been my computer background for the past 8 months - has finally arrived and are wishing me luck). As we drove to the dealer I got more and more excited, and when we pulled off the highway onto the dealer's street, I could barely drive. As I pulled up I saw my Z, sitting right by the front doors, with the sales manager keepin people from touching it. As I walked up he tossed be the keys and told me to take it for a drive. What a memory. What a car!
Excellent story, and congratulations.
