Default Need feathering info/poss class action

Hello, I am the webmaster for NissanTireProblems.com, a website designed to raise awareness about the tire problems with the Nissan 350z. By raising awareness of the 350z tire problems we hope to force Nissan to remedy the situation, and bring satisfaction to consumers.

An attorney who works with our site has indicated that if there is enough interest from consumers to pursue a class action lawsuit, he would do so, seeking to compel Nissan to acknowledge the problem with an appropriate and effective repair, or compel Nissan to buy back all affected vehicles.

If you have experienced or are currently experiencing problems with tire feathering, tire cupping and/or excessive noise, we would like to hear from you. We are looking for information (including stories or pictures) from consumers for possible inclusion on the website. By sharing the experiences that you've had with the Nissan 350z tires, you will assist us in helping the 1000's of consumers who are suffering from problems exactly like yours. Please take some time and share your story with us.

While a class action suit is a good idea and all, if Nissan doesn't know of a fix yet, it's not like the suit is going to magically make one appear. If you want your money back, that's one thing, but you can't sue them to force them to come up with a solution.

Personally, I'm glad to know that they are trying "many different solutions." I'd be more concerned if they did the same thing for everyone since none of them seem to be permanent.

I think "band-aid" is a better term than "solution" for Nissan's actions regarding the feathering issues.

This is my first post on the subject but I've been reading the sites with interest since my feathering developed a few months ago. Last Saturday, I had the TSB performed. After 3 1/2 hours, I now have two scratched rims and tires that are feathered on the outside rather than the inside.

I sent Nissan an Express Mail package yesterday with all the documentation on my repairs. I did not ask for or demand anything. I simply told them, as an owner of multiple Nissan products, the 350Z would be my last.

my local dealership told me that they would not fix my alignment b/c i was past 12,000 miles. i wasn't asking for a new set of tires, only the alignment and was turned away.

this compounds on top of several other problems i've experienced with this car. to make matters worse, everytime i've taken my car in for the warranty repairs, the dealership has caused a much bigger problem ie: dented door and chipped paint when i had the tranny replaced, windows that still don't work after 4 "fixes", scratching ALL of my stock track volk wheels when they did the 15k mile check up.

i love the z, but this will def. be my last nissan. i don't have the time, patience or money to continually deal with the car and the nissan representatives screwing up.

Update on my post from before: If you are interested in filing a class action, I suggest that everyone check out my site, www.nissantireproblems.com. On the site, there is a link to the leading lemon law firm in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware and there are links to other firms as well. The firm, Kimmel & Silverman, has indicated that if there is enough interest from consumers to pursue a class action lawsuit, they would do so, seeking to compel Nissan to acknowledge the problem with an appropriate and effective repair, or compel Nissan to buy back all affected vehicles.

They have an excellent reputation and have handled over 25,000 cases and are very familiar with the Nissan 350z situation. They are certainly interested in pursuing a class action nationally, but they tell me that a NJ client would be more desirable because it would be the most friendly place to get the class action certified and resolved. Apparently the outcomes tend to be more consumer-friendly in New Jersey even though the resolution would affect consumers throughout the United States.

If anyone is willing to be the lead plaintiff in NJ, please let me know, and we can get the ball rolling. Send me your information via the form on the website http://www.nissantireproblems.com/class_action.php or via pm and we should hopefully get the feathering issue resolved once and for all.
