Question What is the highest DTE you guys have gotten??

Since I was just describing this in another thread, I was curious to know what is the highest DTE (Distance to Empty) your car has ever displayed.

This doesn't necessarily mean the car actually went that many miles, but how many miles it said at one point.

My personal high was 411 miles DTE. I only went about 320 miles on the tank until the computer read -----.

you need to reset your average speed avg mph clock before you check your DTE hen drive at your average speed then check your DTE.

I USALLY GET UP TO highway speed then check it

cant recall how high.
but i have gotten 475 highway on a tank

I've seen over 460, and it actually stayed there even though I had driven some 40 miles. I think there was some kind of glitch.

As for actual mileage per tank, and I generally fill when the DTE says about 50 miles, is somewhere between 260 to 330 miles per tank.

I can't imagine getting 475! I actually drive very conservatively also.

Who here has gotten 500 miles on 16 gallons, driving 6x on freeway? If 33 MPGs is possible, I don't see why not 500+ miles?

Highest I've seen on mine was 490 something. Usually, mine will say 463.

I've also gone 60ish miles when it said ---. Mine usually doesn't show the DTE after it goes down to the 40 range. I guess, it's just trying to scare me into getting gas.

One time, I ignored it completely and kept going. My car tried to stop and stalled a few times while moving! Haha, that was fun. Good thing I was near a gas station.

Ive gotten over 500, like 53x when I drove cross country going though the flat states like KS. That was at 55-62 I think, CC all the way! I got about high 31 and low 32's for mpg.

Just tanked up yesterday, got 28.1 mpgs in the city. Its actually great that the mpg guage is quite accurate I don't remember what the DTE was though; I think it was in the upper 400s when I started driving around in the city.
