Well I just have my car for 1.5 month and already got ECU problem. It is at the dealer now waiting for new ECU that is on Backorder.
The service guy was going to take an ECU from another new car and swap it with mine, but they found that there are 26 variation of the ECU.
What do you guy think?
To make this worse, the dealer does not give loaner car.
They told me to call Nissan NorthA.. but they are close today.
Da hell am I suppose to do with no transportation.

The ECU is car specific, you can't just readily "swap" ECU's for another car. You'd need to do some reporgraming and stuff...part of the immobilizer system.
Did they say what was wrong with the ECU? Was it throwing out some error codes? Or is it totally dead.
Either way, if you are out of your car for more a than a few days, I'd try to file a greavance with Nissan. Maybe they can reimburse you for the rental car or something....especially since you've only had the car for 1.5months.

Hi,
The ECU is found to be defective.
What has happen is my car got sluggish around 3000RPM and wont really go. I mean it drag. I had to be in 4th gear just got drive 35 MPH to get to the dealer. No Check Engine.. No error code. They try to reporgram it but fail or something, when they decide that it is defective.
I can understand that the imobilizer or other part of the ECU program are programed on individual vehicle, but why would there be a hardware difference in ECU? 26 variation?
He couldnt tell me if is variation or revision.
