Last night i gunned my car on what i thought was a straight road (very dark) looked down at the speedo and looked up to a hair pin i turned and tried to brake but i hit some leaves or gravel or something and just lost it. Wrapped a tree, and was like 8 feet from a lake. Like 6 cops came and i thought i was screwed...let me go with a careless driving ticket, thank the lord.
The car is in bad shape needs a rim,windshield,2 fenders,hood,bumper,radiator,core support,a bunch of harnesses, thats all i can think of but im sure there are alot more than just those..hasnt been looked at yet thats just what i know it needs. One officer said frame damage i dont know ill try to get pix tomorrow. I made an immature decision of speeding on a road i didnt know...now alot of sh*t is gonna hit the fan.

Yeah man sorry to hear about ur Z i haven't gotten mine yet but i kno how u feel becaue earlier this year i totalled my c 32 AMG benz i was hitting somewhere around 140 and thought the road was straight and this crazy hairpin came up and i tried to turn but the car twisted the other way and i wrecked the whole thing i was glad to make out with scratches and a bruise ... the good thing is atleats ur ok though feel better cars come and go though i kno u feel bad but it will be alright u just gotta thank god that u made it out to tell about it

Right before Z-Fest

 

I hate to sound like an old man, I'm only 26 I swear , but you guys need to slow down. Take it out on the track if you need to feel that speed but please stop wrecking Z's, not to mention yourselves. I don't know about you guys but I love my car too much to risk damage of any kind.

 

Were there any Turn signs? I'm not lawyer, but I think U may have a case if there were no warning signs. Maybe sue the city or something, i dunno. Same thing happened to my cousin's WRX. Straight dark tarmac road but with a sudden sharp left turn that is made out of dirt. No signs at all! He flipped it once, airbags out, one rim cracked in half, roof collapsed a little bit. Hit a telephone pole and shattered that cement thingy in the ditch where the water goes though. I think it's called a covert or something. Everyone survived(just 2 people) but the car didn't. Well, I'm glad they were in a very safe car.

I know U may be stressed out about all this, but at least ur alive. But I'm sure U have insurance(which my cousin didn't) to cover your car. There will always be a car for you to drive, but there's no use if you're not here to drive it.

 

What is it with Z's and accidents.............I was accident free for almost 10 years, then got my Z on the last day of December 2002; I got hit (and run) on the left rear fender, never found the guy and his stupid pick-up who did it.......then all my decals got stolen.......two weeks later, the new ones got pried off as well..........a month later, someone scraped all alongside my rear bumber, took off as well......then last month, some huge mercedes backed into my right door and front fender. Just got my baby back on Saturday.......now all I want to do is buy a hoopdy and store my Z. Too bad I am broke. Hey, I am glad to hear you were okay after the crash!!! Be more careful, okay- it's fun to speed, but not on unknown roads.

I used to say that and I am 40, and I go to the track but you can't help once in a while to take this car and push it, and all it takes is one second and you lose it, it happens to the best, and the guy already feels bad enough so why jump on him.
