Welcome to the SB bumper club. Good news is it doesnt look bad from a couple feet away, but up close, yes, they look like hell.

That turtle wax black colored wax works "ok", it gets out some very small imperfections, but it doesnt work wonders.I use it on my front bumper and it helps.

 

Gets worse every day. Front part of the hood and on the side mirrors as well. I'm thinking of waiting for an 05 then trade in. New paint and hopefully no feathering!

Black turtle wax eh? Have to look into that.

10k miles and being repainted as I type ... stupid retread came off a truck and insurance is covering mine.

As for price, I got 2 estimates before I filed a cliam. One was $500 and the other was $600.

The adjuster for insurance said $300 ... the NISSAN BODY SHOP even called him a moron and their estimate hit $575. So, if you can get it for $399, go for it, just make sure it isn't MAACO

 

My Chrome Silver Z looked just as bad, I too had chips on the hood, fenders, mirrors, roof, and even the rear quarter panel! And no, I didn't tailgate. There's definitely something up with the paint. I'm still waiting to see how it will hold up on the G, although it's a bit higher off the road.

Before the Z I had a car that rode about 2" off the ground, and the bumper looked better at 118k miles than my Z did at 10k!

 

Seriously, the paint is the only thing I can really complain about on this car.

Yeah, try that black turtle wax.. just know it doesnt work miracles.
