I don't know about "cheap" but you can order it at www.zainostore.com

It's worth every penny!

Yeah, upon reflection, I guess there can't be much difference in price with an inexpensive item like wax. Thanks.

I'm a real novice at waxing my own car, as I usually have it detailed professionally. What do I need to buy from Zaino? I just want simple wax.

This was my first time waxing a car. Just go to Zainostore.com and buy one of their starter kits. I bought the smaller kit and the glass polish/tire dressing. There is a detailed walkthrough of the process on that site as well.

- ZFX (hardening agent for Z2 & Z5)
- Z7 (Car wash)

Anyone can, just so long as you don't live in Jersey. They won't ship in state. I have to drive like an hour and a half to the one store in the whole state that sells it if I want it.

How long does the kit last? I mean how many waxings do you get out of it?

I did two cars and used maybe a quarter of the polish but most of the Z6 (I used it between every step). The polish bottles are about 8 ounces each and a layer is maybe a half once or 3/4 of an ounce for one car.

The kit they sell will do about 12 layers. (between the 2 bottles of z5/z2)
And you will still have a little bit of car wash, clay bar and spray left.

It's worth it.

Polymer sealant is very different from wax, a good layer of good wax will last about a month, less if it rains a lot.
Zaino will last muchlonger, and it "layers" itself, kinda like applying a layer of clearcoat over and over again.

You also do not have to wash your car as often, as dirt will not stick on it. I am very **** with my car, I use to wash/wax my car every week. Now I Zaino once a month and high-pressure spray it once a week (don't even have to dry it, water simply drop off, no water spots either.)

I have a brand new silverstone, so the "shine" effect isn't as obvious as someone using it on an older black car. But seeing water bead off my car as if it were on RainX treated glass A MONTH after the last time I zaino'd it, is totally worth it.

Have I mention it doesn't have the white wax residue?

I am sounding like a damn infomercial....

It probably has something to do with the sales tax, but I couldn't imagine why they wouldn't be able to charge it online. I have friends who live in NYC, I thought about just shipping it to one of them and picking it up since I visit most weekends anyway. Haha.

I know the search function is down, but if your go into "Forums", then "Detailing" and scroll, looking for Zaino questions or towel questions, there is a distributor for Zaino and DF Towel that should be able to send it your way. I feel sure he will respond to your post. He doesn't miss many.

I noticed that Zaino is headquarted in Howell, NJ. Perhaps it has something to do with that. Maybe they have to charge sales tax in NJ and cannot do it online.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. But I don't really understand why that would be an issue. Sites charge sales tax online all the time.
