100k miles an needs a new engine. How much is my car worth
Ok so i have (had) a 1999 accord couple lx manual (leather) . It hit 100k miles not too long ago and soon after i managed to somehow break my crankshaft. I have 3 options, 1)rebuild the engine 2)drop a new engine in or 3) sell it as is. Im buying my self a Z so this is kinda important since whatever money i get from getting rid of my accord is part of my down payament. Mossy nissan down here in SD told me they would give me 3000 bucks for the car as is. Can anyone tell me what they would estimate my car is worth as is and where i culd possibily sell it privatly? Otherwise how much to rebuild/drop new engine and how much will it be worth after? (Is it worth it to fix it). Any help would be greatly appreciated since i WANT MY ZZZZZZZZZZ and i have no car now. =(

Get a quote on the rebuild
Then get a quote on the car from edmunds(or another place).
Here I did it for U but didn't know what options U have:
Trade In:$6000
Private: $7200
This is if the car is fixed.
Only repair it if they will give U $6000 for the car when it's fixed. Otherwise, $3000 is an alright deal.
