Question Small scratches in paint from factory?

I went to check out an available Daytona Blue Touring Z last night, on the off chance that the color would be appealing enough for me to forego the 3 month wait period for my pre-ordered Silverstone Performance model. Well, the color was stunning, but so were the tiny scratch marks all over the car! I don’t know what those guys used to wax or buff the car, but I would never accept a vehicle in that condition as “new”.

Maybe I’m being too picky, but I don’t remember seeing those kinds of marks on any of the other Z’s lately, so I’m pretty sure they don’t come from the factory like that. Oh well…I guess I’ll just have to wait for the car I actually wanted in the first place!

Have any of you Daytona (or other color) owners noticed anything like this on your cars?

Thanks,
Andre

I had some VERY minor ones on mine. PDI guys...I didn't pre-order, just happenstance I picked mine up. More than likely, that's what you saw on that Daytona. Can probably be buffed out with some ZAINO!

That's for you Doc!

What I initially thought were scratches on mine turned out to be glue from the plastic coating it's shipped in that was still stuck to the car.

They scared the heck out out me at first, but a couple rubbed out in my second Dawn wash before Zainoing (is that a word?) and then I caught on. They all came right off with a slightly harder rub than you might think necessary.

Hopefully they're not from peoples zippers and such as they look at the car...
