That sticker was the craziest thing I've seen on a Z. When I bought mine I could hardly believe that htey needed a sticker on the hatch. Sure it's nice to know that 2 bags can fit back there, but the handicap is really set to "Special Olympics" for anybody who can't figure out how to put them in without the sticker!

Like some people have already alluded to, the main reason for the sticker is purely demographical. The people who buy these types of cars are traditionally 20-mid40 somethings and the main leisure time activity in this group is golf. If a car cant accomodate that then people are less likely to buy the car. A funny story along the lines of this involves the Corvette. Back a few years ago when Chevrolet/Corvette engineers first went to the drawing board to design the then new C5, they sent out mailers to poll previous Corvette owners on what they liked and disliked. The main thing that came back as a dislike was that the 80's-early 90's shark styling Vette was not able to accomodate Golf clubs. The only way to do it was to put them in the passenger seat which would then eliminate ever being able to drive to the course with someone. Well when the C5 came out, it had that pseudo trunk space in the rear end which was specifically designed to fit two golf bags. they would have to be placed in one on top of the other but never-the-less two bags could now fit.
I know this was a little off-topic, but just thought it would illustrate why the Z also advertises that it can fit 2 bags, not just one.
