More attention for looks alone: g35c or 350Z?
I like both the Z and the G and think they are both good looking cars. I think the G is more of a classy look where the Z has a more in your face attitude. I'm not going to say that the Z looks better than the G because that is subjective judgement. Just on stares, like it or hate it, the Z will attract more stares just because it's style is bold and screams look at me.

This is almost equivalent to comparing the looks of a Toyota Supra to the Lexus SC300.
I can hear all the same responses from yester-year with Z(Supra) and G35c(SC300) as the new comparison. Don't really like the old SC's anymore.
Hated the radical nature of the Z at first and was gearing towards the more subtle safe curves of the G. BUT I think the Z will remain a sleek looking sports car for a very long time.
I came very close to taking a G over a Z but couldn't deal with it's multi-platform sedan counterpart. Nothing bad with the Sedan...it's just that the G35C's features are not distinct enough for the type of sports car I wanted. It shared to many features from the front fascia of the sedan.
Just my subjective/ bias/ artistic perspective.

I see atleast 4 G35 sedans on the road every weekend. I will usually see 1 or 2 G35 coupes if I'm lucky. Very very rarely will I see another Z, it sure catches my eye because I don't see them much. I'm sure the same would apply to the G35 if it wasn't so common.

shameless ****.
I think comparing stock for stock the G wins... Sorry guys and I love my Z.
But I think if we're comparing modified to modified the Z wins hands down.
I bought my car knowing I was going to put on a kit and wheels... I find the Z is more aggressive and racy.

g has more mature styling. 30-40yos look more appropriate in a g. 20-30yos look more appropriate in a z. and i'm pretty sure this is exactly what nissan was thinking when they designed the body styles.
currently the g and the z are both awesome cars..
but...
the z car is part of a heritage of sports cars which have been designed to give great looks and alot of bang for the buck, the newest one is no exception. i personally look at all Z's on the road old and new and can see where my 350 came from even back to the 280 days, you cant say that for many cars. i can rest assured that in 10 years the z will still have good looks appeal and respect it has today, much as the 300zxs of the 90's and the old 280s still have my respect. i dont know if i can say the same about the g coupes. but then again i am biased as well

Both are great looking cars, but my vote is for the G, since I bought one
Other factors affected my choice too. Can't tell you how many times the back seats have come in handy. This weekend, I could barely get a propane gas tank in the trunk

I prefer the more "refined" look of the G, but the only and I mean only time I regret not getting the Z is when I see one with the Nismo spoiler. That goes so damn well with the Z, it's like sex on wheels.
i have to omit my friends g looks mighty well, but when i park my z next t him, i definetly get more looks than he does!

and for this coment is the reason why i got my cf nismo spoiler!

Good looking people are usually just a collection of average features, and the G doesn't really have any offending traits. The Z on the other hand has some styling that may turn some people off.
The G35 will have a broader range of people who like it, plus it will probably get you laid more.
I like the Z better, but I do accept the fact that the G is a more widely accepted automobile.

I too was about to buy a G35C, but everytime I saw a 350 drive by, it was no comparison! I like the way the G looks, very classy, but the front end is way too narrow and the only view I like is, the 3/4 view from behind. Otherwise, the G has no lines and edges. The Z truly infuses passion when you look at it from all angles. Also, the G does not come in a convertible trim?
