Nissan is screwing me again!!! HELP
My car suffered from the tire feathering that is a common problem for early VIN cars. I found the TSB(service bulletin) and at 25000km I took the car into my dealership to get the tires replaced, but they said I hit a curb/pothole and that this was causing the feathering. I bitched to Nissan Canada and they said that they could not do anything because of the curb thing.
Recently I just got a letter from Nissan saying that this tire feathing was there fault and any car with less than 34000 km would get a new set of tires. My car has 43000km and now they are saying that there is too many km but they are willing to prorate the tires and I will only have to pay $600 per tire.
It pisses me off that they are saying that they are willing to take responsibility now when I have 45000km and have to pay, but at 25000km it was my fault.
I threatened to sue and am talking to some customer service representatives, but they are worthless.
Anyone have any ideas??

I assume your'e talking about Canadian dollars when you say they want you to pay $600/tire. At the current exchange rate that seems like they are asking you to buy the new tires with little or no credit. But you said that you put 43,000 km on the old tires. In miles that's over 25k miles so they are right in giving you no credit since the life of OEM tires is about 24k. You can ***** and moan all you want but it probably won't get you anything.

The point is though that I took it into them at 25000km, which is below the 34000km allowed, and they told me that this was my problem.
Now when the tires have 43000km they are saying that it is due to the initial alignment, but there is too many km to change it.
They are pretty much weaseling there way out of something that should have been done when I initially brought it to them

25k miles on performance tires is more than I ever got on any car. I'd be happy if mine lasted that long! Lack of snow here and the traction control 'might' just get me that far on the OEM's....maybe.
