Default Using Mid-Bass Speakers in Rear Locations?

I was looking at adding some mid-bass speakers to my system, hoping that it would "round out" the fullness of the sound. Has anyone that installed aftermarket speakers in the rear locations (behind the seats) measured how much depth we have to install speakers in those locations, and how difficult it is to get the stock speakers out?

What kind of JL's are you planning on putting in those spaces, if you don't mind my asking.

also look into the focal 5kx sub and image dynamics idq8 for adding mid-bass... or why not just put 7"'s in the door
