I was wondering if the XFM satilite radio can be installed directly into the bose stock unit or do they have to put a seperate visula tuner in? I have a 04 and was thinking of going to Best Buy to install it.
Thanks

Either way you can hook it up thru a FM modulator. Only drawback is that the input signal will not be as high so you will have to turn it up a notch or two. Oh you will have to use an external display with whatever you do because stock radios (to the best of my knowledge) are not XM ready. I have the commander and the display fits perfectly in my NAV compartment. If you have NAV you will have to get a little creative (not very)

I'm quite sure that the '03s are not XM ready while the '04s are. I forgot where I read that, but you might wanna check it out Mirage328.
