Arrow base vs enthusiast

How are you base guys doing without limited slip diff? How is it in the rain??

I was deciding on a Z. Enthu v. base.

I can live without HIDs or even cruise control. But limited slip.... hmmmm, I've never had a car without this. Does no LSD make a big difference in driveability?? Just wondering if its worth $2K extra over the base.....

Any comments appreciated.

I think the LSD is very important.

I wanted to make an observation. I was looking at the BMW 330Ci and was surprised to find that it has an open diff (that is no LSD). This is a $35-40K car so this seems odd to me. The only thing I can think is that the 330Ci has TC and stability control, so the LSD may not be as important.

The base Z has no TC or VDC so I think the LSD would be more sorely missed.

I have driven my Base in quite a bit of rain and have not experienced any problems at all. That said, had I had it to do all over again, I would have gone with the Enthusiast for the extra $2000. In January, when I was young and stupid, I thought the Base would be the first one delivered, the dealer didn't know anything about the car or the different models (it was the first days of preorders), there was no my350z.com, and I only planned on driving it for a couple of months and then sell it. Much has changed in nine months! You also might want to do a Forum Search for more threads on Base vs. Enthusiast.

I'll just have to take it easy in the rain.

Luckily, I don't have to worry about any snow.

unless 2k-3k is really beyond what u can afford, go with the enthusiast. You will get your money's worth and more for the additional money spent.
