THe new issue of GamePro had a big article on the upcoming new Gran Turismo....and the Z was one of the featured cars...

As a matter of fact....the creator of the series.....Gran Turismo THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR.....drives a Z in real life....

I have not read much on the topic but do you think that they will still realease GT4 for the PS2 or for their next system? Thes last release date I saw at amazon.com was August?

sorry to burst anyones bubble but i have been waiting for a while for this game. in no way am i a game junkie but i love this series of games, so i have been patientlly waiting since the first release date that was for fall of 2003. Then it was pushed to april of 2004. Then it was pushed to june of 2004. I was unaware of the next delay which according to you guys was for August of 2004. Well to make a long story short, heres the bad news. I was just in my local game store talking to the latest junkie employee and he showed me the latest release date which has been pushed back yet again. November of 2004. God i hope he is wrong, but he says their main conncern now is to get it out by christmas. sucks dont it???

 

There's a really interesting series going on during Sports Center this week on ESPN which is about sports and video games. Yesterday's installment was all about race car drivers using racing games to prepare for their real life events. I'm not a big racing fan but they Dale Earnhardt (sp?) Jr was going on and on about how he and a teammate preped for some race w/ the game and even used some moves that they practiced in the game in a real life race. It was a very interesting piece about just how realistic the games are. One guy even made a simulator w/ a monitor, a racing wheel, pedals, etc set up in what looked like a car seat... very slick.

 

Why the delays? I thought it has been out in Japan for months?
