Default Difficulty in removing door panels

Guys,

I am really interested in swapping out my front speakers to compliment my basslink (on order).

I will be using the non bose HU. Question is how hard does it take to remove the door panels?

I have taken out so many panels before with different cars. Anybody can do it!! But doing with
care and making sure it doesn't rattle is the key.

Please, explain if you have taken it out. I can do it to anybody's car less than 20 minutes. But doing
to this car is scary (hehe).

Thanks,
Tony

It took me about 15 minutes to take the panel off the passenger side door. Just be careful and take it slow when you put things back on. I broke one clip when I put the panel back on because it wasn't lined up with the hole. It's not a big problem since the dealer sold me a bag of 5 clips for like $5.

I didn't have any rattles when I put it back on.

Here's a link for a "how-to" on removing the panels:

I wish trhis would have been up yesterday when I tried to install my window tech module.

I guess Im gonna have to go to my dealer for clips too because I ended up breaking like 2 and the little rubber thing behind the door switch. i wasnt aware i could leave it in when I popped the little plastic piece with the knife.

AND, I ended up with one extra bolt. I hate oppening things up and working on the car for this reason. No matter what, I always feel like when I put it back together its never the same.

On a side note though, I was driving my friends moms A4 and It just reminded me hooow amazingly cheap our interior felt. it was nice to drive, like my old audi TT but getting back into the z reminded me of why I liked it soo much, the thrust and feeling like I was actually working with a car and not just sitting in one.

Love my Z!
