Well after 6500 miles I finally have my 1st problem with my 2004.
The A/C works fine when it is in the low Eighties but the last 2 days its been in the low 90's and It just blows hot air, I tried putting the temp between 60 and 75 but still no luck. Then when it gets cooler out the A/C seems to work perfect. It is going to the dealer tommorow.
Anyone have or heard of this problem before.
Thanks
Charles

I had the same problem but it started after 2 weeks and 700 miles. I didn't have my Z for 10 days when they repaired my A/C. All covered under warranty though. My A/C high pressure switch and harness had corrosion at the terminal connection. It was causing the switch to turn off the compressor when at a stop. Good luck

I had a similar issues the other night. Just hit 9000 miles and I was sitting in stop and go traffic for over an hour (and temp guage showed 99 in the car) the A/C started blowing hot air. I did notice though that once traffic let up and I was able to resume a normal speed the A/C started back up again. I don't know if this was just a fluke or what, but I will have dealer check when I take it in for it's next oil change.

Well I brought it to the Dealer, But with my luck, It was only 75 out so the AC was working flawlessly. The kept it for the day and tested the AC out but found nothing wrong. They told me to stop by the next time it is really hot and blowing hot air. Its only going to be in the 70's for the next week, so I guess I will have to wait.

sounds to me like you dont have enough of a charge (not enough freon)on your low pressure side (suction, gas side) when you have a load on the car (hot day) it will not cool sufficiently. i bet if you run your ac on a hot day and it does not blow cold air that you will not see any condensation on your low pressure side and will not have any water coming out the drip leg.
