We'll do ours from Cali to NY, instead of NY to Cali. Or better yet, Cali to Florida so we show up during spring break.

 

Im right between SF and Sac. The $9000 entry fee though... you find some way to cover that and I'll ride along

 

I have been looking in to this, and people seem to budget between 12k to 15k us including entry fee. I have been thinking of asking an old friend who owns a small TV production company to go half’s with me and film the trip, I’m not sure if he has any interest though.

If anyone is serious and can foot half the bill I’d like to talk to them. email me

PS i thought about sponsors too but the entrance fee will go up to 16k us so you would need a fair bit of sponsorship to break even.

actually what asscoiation is it? how can they have some much money to get those cars?

Actually its more like $12000 entrance fee, because the site says that its a 8,000 GBP (britsh pounds).

But I've made it my life goal to do this race before i die :-P But the my350z gumball ralley would be soooooo frickin cool. I'd soo go. I could just imagine a few hundred Z's rolling across country!

 

Guys be prepared to scrifice your cars. Watch the Micheif video first (its a must see! =).

There were ferraris, bently's, etc etc with their front ends having paint blasted away down to the white fiber glass. It wasn't a pretty site. You will basically need a new paint job and major ding removal when this thing is done. Still sounds like a blast and if you can afford the $10k+ entrance fee I guess you don't have to worry about revamping your car at the end.

 

It's a rich people's event which is full of expensive cars, lack of skills, and full of gold diggers. I guess it's cool if that's the kind of thing you like.

 

I totally agree about the GUNBALL Race. Its all about having lots of money. I will say though from some friends who went, its a BLAST!!! You meet some interesting people. About The Mischif series of videos, you all should check the new one comming out in June. June 15th. My Z and a friends Z should be in there. I'm working with them to possibly if I can make a section in the next video after this one, to have something on the Z and get some Z's in the local Washington DC/VA/MD area.

 

Yeah i'm pretty sure there's a lot of people with oodles of money and no skillz, but a car enthusiast is a car enthusiast. And anyone can drive across country, but its about being part of a event.

As for tearing your car up, you don't HAVE to do 200mph on the race. The reason they got sand blasted is they did 100+ all the way throught the desert regions, get a BRA for that leg. Save you in paint :-P They didn't give a cr4p cause they probably could afford a whole new paint job :-P

And as for the helmet-lickers/pit-lizards, let the schmooze up to you, getting a good look at some free-cleavage is fun, but its your fault if you fall for it :-P
