membership on this board is not an accurate judge of actual female population owning Z's.

from what I see on the road, Id go so far to say that women might out number men as Z drivers. they just dont seem to all share the same passion for further knowledge of the car as the fewer men do.

Women may also find many of the Off Topic threads and pics offensive and "typical" of men.

I personally only know 1 female Z driver but I don't if she's on the board. She and her husband switch between their pre-ordered 03 Z and an MR2.

According to http://www.autoweek.com/search/searc...94230&record=2 "Strategic Vision says that men represented 78.6 percent of U.S. buyers of the Nissan 350Z sports car last year.."

Z ownership has been estimated at 80% men and 20% women. The ratio who participate in a car forum like this is even lower since typically (not always) women are not inerested in talking about cars, just driving them.

I live in a town of about 30 thousand people, and I have had 3 people tell me of a hot pink roadster they`ve seen parked, but have not seen the driver. I`m dying to see the chick driving it.
God, I hope it`s a chick. That would just be wrong if it wasn`t.
One time, it was seen out in front of one of the local titty bars, so I think thats a good sign. :-)

There are some ladies who are interested in learning more about the fabulous Z! I haven't seen any other gals driving a Z around town yet but the dealer said since I got mine he has had 7 women wanting the LS roadster they saw me driving, none available here in NM.

Well, I am a chick who knows how to drive a stick!

I have a 2004 DB Z, a week old... I have the Base model becaues what the hell do I need TCS and VDC for?? I'd rather upgrade everything myself...

I also have a 2003 yamaha R6, of course BLUE to match my BLUE Z.

my previous cars were a 92 TT Z
(my baby) 97 TT supra, BPU and HKS ballbearing turbos, HKS BOV's... the whole nine yards... I LOVED IT! ( I want another one)

now, I am ready to start from scratch with my Z and make it look great.. I love to talk cars... I have to admit, I may know what to get for the Z to make it fast and look good, etc.. but I don't work on them, although I would love to someday

waiting on the following for my car:
for starters:
volk 19" GT-7 gunmetal wheels w/ toyo tires
nismo body kit
seibon VS carbon fiber hood and evo-r carbon fiber wing
RSR exaust
tein coilovers
katzkin 2-tone leather (black/blue)
bluebatmobile layovers

eventually will work my way to twin turbo... I just love the sound of the turbo spooling up and the BOV.

I'm a girl. Just busy. Haven't done much to my car since the first month I got it... Just visiting because I have a friend here now, NikkiZ. She just got one, but I can't find her.

Eh, Brian, you got that list on notepad or something, cuz it's awfully concise.

Actually, I know that I missed a lot of 'em, but hey, I can't remember everything

But all from memory, in answer to your question

I think girls that like fast cars are more 'pure' car lovers. For us guys, there is always the element of 'impressing a chick', even if it is small for some, and even if we say 'no siree, not me, its all for the car'. Women don't have 'impressing a guy' burden , which leaves them more love for the car itself and makes their interest(s) more pure.

So, cheers to all the Z ladies out there.
