Default Can anyone HEEEELLLLP!!!!!

Does anyone on here have any idea how to dig deep into the Nissan system and find out WTFOOOOOCK is going on with my car???

I ordered my Z on January 14th of this year... it is now exactly 5 months later, and I can't get a straight answer out of anyone as to where in the hell my car is!!!

The dealer placed the order at the end of February, that was when his order window opened... from that point on, I've been getting different stories from everyone regarding when my car is/was supposed to arrive... one story had it here the first couple weeks of May, which obviously did not happen!!!

I need help! I'm sick of this waiting and not having any idea what's going on... if the car doesn't get here shortly, I'm going to say **** it and buy something else! Can anyone help? Does anyone here have any connections at Nissan? Does anyone here work for Nissan??? HEEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

5 months seems like an awful long time to wait for an order. Especially when I see Z's sitting on the lots here and there. Sounds like the dealership is taking you for a ride. I ask for my deposit back PROMPTLY.

Go to another dealership...

Your dealer is taking you for a ride. I ordered mine on Jan 19, 2004. Car arrived 3 months later and I have been driving it since Apr 17. Go get your money back and buy it elsewhere. Besides, with that kind of treatment during sales, you are not likely to get good service after (if) you get your car. If you still feel compelled to order one, you may consider waiting for the 2005.

Now the good news, the Z is a dream to drive. Don't let one bad dealer rob you the joy of having such wonderful piece of engineered art.

Thought you might ask. Sorry N, can't help you there. I am in Canada and the car was bought here. I don't know how to change my signature.

Yeah, 5 months is a bit long. I'd ask for my deposit back and go elsewhere.

I would cancel the order and go get yourself a 2005 in a couple months.

1-800-NISSAN1

Call that number and start a complaint.

I did when I had a seemingly never ending problem and it helped.

Also look up the Nissan North America Consumer Affairs email and shoot them one.

Tell them you're about to pull your cash and go get a vette if they dont give you some straight answers.

Good luck!

Well... I only put down $100 for the deposit... so I'm not missing much. I know the guy will give it back to me no problem... my dealer is frustrated with the situation too... b/c he doesn't seem to have any control over what is going on at Nissan Japan.

The problem is, no one can figure out the production schedule for my car. APPEARANTLY, it's one of only several 2004 Track trims being produced this year before the 2005 go into production... or some **** like that... I just want to know where my car is!!!

This story makes me glad I worked so hard to find one like I wanted and didn't have to wait for one to be built. My dealer said 2 - 3 months. If I was you I would start searching the Nissan dealer inventories all around your area for the car you want. I got help from a member on this board that knew where the exact car I wanted was located a couple states over. I got my local dealership to go get it and now I am driving instead of still waiting 2 months.

N,
Glad to hear that you got an arrival date. I feel excited for you. On the other hand, the 2005s will be here about 2 months after you get yours. If you stay with the original dealer, I hope you get a break from them for being such a loyal customer.

Well... the 2005's go into production August 2nd, but the first deliveries won't be until November. In Chicago, that's as good as waiting until next spring... and I don't want to wait that long. I'll get a good 3.5 months out of it before putting it away for the winter...

Also, from more reliable sources than the rumors that appear here... the 2005s really won't have changes beyond interior cosmetics i.e. no hp boost, etc.

If production starts Aug, the early ones will reach US by mid Sep. But Murphy's law says that will belong to someone else, not yours. I know what you mean about putting it away. That's why I waited till Jan to order mine for Apr, instead of getting it in fall of previous year. Happy waiting for July 16 ... not gonna be easy.
