Search for a little rubbery button right above the rear license plate... it's hidden out of sight but it's pretty easy to feel. Just push it and the trunk will open. Of course, at least one of doors has to be open.

There's a little rubber button just below the hatch. I don't have a pic but I think that it's between the two lights that light up the license plate.

Uh, no, one of the doors doesn't have to be open, but at least the drivers side door must be unlocked, according to the owners manual if I remember it correctly. It wouldn't make much sense to have to leave a door open in order to get your trunk open.

If the button under the trunk doesn't work there is a locking switch in the rear glove box (behind passenger seat) that disables the button under the trunk. The switch is located on the top center of the rear glove box.

My bad... I meant to say unlocked but didn't catch my error until after the 10 minute edit limit.

Yes, I know this because I have the roadster. It's suppose to be a security feature if you Valet your car.... Like I will ever let a valet take my car..........
