What about reduced air flow??
I would hate drilling the front bumper. However, if you place the plate in front of the grill won't that block front airflow?
I checked out the service manual for the cooling system and it discusses specifically about reduced or blockage of air flow and overheating...
I don't know too much about cars, but I would think this is a pretty important thing to consider for cooling.
Thoughts?

Lots of people here have used the Zee Bracket, but I've never heard any complaints of over-heating. I'd imagine the plate doesn't cause enough of a restriction to reduce the efficiency of the radiator, especially at speed.
But I wonder if using something like the Zee bracket could reduce the effectiveness of a front mounted intercooler?.....

On a side note, anyone know what those two square plastic plates are that go on the outer sides of the grill?? They are connected by two plastic pop-screws on each plate.
Anyone know what they are for??
