You must've turned on the 'jmanz' charm on the officers, as NB police can often be pretty strict. As I'm sure you know, they get alot of partiers down there, and they are more than happy to send law breakers home with a ticket (I've had a few back from HS days).

If you ever have plans for another beach-photo session with a Z, let me know. I may be able to arrange for you to take the Z right down to the water front, on a private community beach just north of Huntington.
