Question the driver seat "bump"

did you guys know the difference between the driver's seat and passenger's seat is more than just the "bump'?

i always thought the "bump" was just a gimmick for Nissan to say the Z is a "driver's" car. But I just found out the driver's side is actually narrower on the bottom, has more side bloster, and the side of it has more cut out so the side blosters does not get in the way for shifting.

It's always exciting to discover new things about your own car....

Next thing you know, somebody will tell me the driver and passenger door panels are different. Then they'll lie to me and tell me the door handles on the outside are different, too, with no key hole on the passenger side.

I'll tell them they've been smoking something illegal.

I always thought the bump is there to protect your ball from rolling forward and being hit by the falling jaw... .
