My Z was hit yesterday!!
The unthinkable happened yesterday. My wife and I decided to take our truck instead of the Z to work. I usually park my car on the side of the road because I live in an apartment. At about 2pm I receive a call from my brother saying that my Z got hit by a truck and is in bad shape. All rims are deeply scratched and one actuall broke. The Z lost the back wheel of the driver side and the body is smashed around the back driver side area. The witness said that my Z was dragged about 30 feet even with the handbrake on. My wheels were locked and turning to the left. All I have is my antenna saved. The witness said the woman hit my Z and then got off the her truck and fled the scene in another car. The witness saw everything and was able to record color, make and model of the car and also the liscense plate of the car. Everybody was saying that is nice car and too bad it had been wrecked. I also heard the witness was pissed. The witness was going to chase the woman but he was on opposite side of the traffic and the woman took off. The insurance company has been informed and also the police report has been made. Now the waiting game. I really dont want the Z. You never know what happened to the chassis or and even if they fix it the Z will not feel the same. Its a sad day in Z life.

well my car is being sent to a body shop for estimates. my insurance is messed up. one of their agents said i only had liability insurance for the z. i told the agent that is a mistake. we verified with our insurance broker and states we do have full coverage on the z. so the insurance broker called the insurance and solved that issue. the body shop is now billing my insurance for the storage and towing fees. we will see today what kind of damage my z has suffered. but one thing is that i dont want the z anymore. i understand if it had body damage then yes but when your wheel is smashed inwards towards the car then thats another story. this car has many factory suspension parts embedded to improve ride performance. i hope its totaled but will fight to get rid of the z. i only had it for less than 3 months. you guys feel me or am i going overboard. that woman is going to pay.

Sorry to hear about your ride. Its always tragic to hear a fellow Z owner lose his ride. I totally agree that a car isn't the same after a wreck. Keep us updated of your situation. Best of luck to you!

I dont know. I am thinking another Z Base. It think its the best performing car for the price. i hope they fix all the bugs the z are known to have and then yes absolutely. but i am also thinking about a saburu sti, evo or an s2000. All these other cars are pricier but are fine cars.
