Congrats ,
Hope to see you and your Z at the Georgia Z club meeting. It is always on the first Tuesday of every month @ the Hooters on Jimmy Carter.

Default Well I got it and...

My first impressions is that the car does not feel as quick as I expected. I am comparing it to a 1998 M Roadster which has 240 hp. Now the problem is I am following the breakin procedures and not going above 4000 rpm or flooring the accelerator. I am refering to how snappy the car feels with small accelerator changes. The problem may be the linear programming of the accelerator, which will not be a problem once the car in broken in and maybe the car pulls much harder above 4000 rpm. Has anyone else felt this way?

The Z might not feel as "fast" like, punch you in the back fast compared to your m roadster. But like you said it all has to do with the throttle being linear in the Z. If you push the accelerator in a little in the Z you get a little gas, in a bmw/porsche if you push the accelerator in a little you get more than a little gas. So where you only had you push your accelerator in a bit on the M roadster you will just have to push it in a bit X 2 on the Z. This is actually better for track use considering you have a more accurate control over throttle. Just my opinion. But by the way, having ridden in both of those cars ( execpt the m roadster I was in was a 2002 (315 hp) I know what you mean)

Having ridden in a Z that has been broken in, I can assure you that with the Traction Control and speed limiting off, it feels a lot quicker. However, the linear throttle will always take a little bit of the edge off until you get used to it.
