Finally....a real live Z
I pre-ordered a "Track" at the first of Sept. At times I wondered if I wasnt acting a little impulsivly by purchasing a car sight-un-seen much less had'nt test driven. Well, after seeing and sitting in my first Z today (no test drive yet but thats comeing) my fears are pretty much elliminated.
What a fantastic car: Like many said on this site, this car looks better in person than any picture can relate. (this Z was a Brickward Touring with black leather)
The seating position was just about perfect for a driver 6'2" and 200 lbs. The peddles where far enough away to provide a close in grip on the wheel and shifter (a problem I had with other so called sports cars).
Fit and finish looked fantastic to me, but then again I'm used to cars of suspect quality such as my current 2000 z28.
There were people crawling all over the damn thing so my time sitting and dreaming were cut short. However todays experience confirms my feelings toward this purchase, and makes the wait that much more difficult.
